Absolutely outstanding! To take 100-year-old building and turn it into such an awesome place to stay. Then again you know it's always been said that location location location Wow in this particular hotel the location is awesome the view is beautiful. It's been told that a recent movie was filmed here in one of the rooms. Anyways awesome staff awesome atmosphere.

This place is excellent. An old Saloon restored to intended purpose, a place for people to come share adventure stories, drink beer and catch up on rest. New friends downstairs, clean beds upstairs. Highly recommend. Will be back.

Great folks especially the owner Daniel and great staff. Room #3 was totally cool. The movie theatre is nothing like anything in the area, even Denver for a historic hotel. Love the stay. We’ll be back again.

I love the Avon. Clean rooms upstairs and an authentic saloon downstairs. The whole front desk/bar/coffee area is really inviting for groups to get together or to meet new people. Also, it's a one block walk from the main drag. I'll be back for sure.

Clean, comfortable and affordable. It's hard to describe the beauty of this remote town, but the Avon captures it.
Beers by the fire at night, coffee with the same new friends by the fire in the mornings. Come here to slow down and enjoy life for a minute.
Highly recommended.

The Avon is just what Daniel envisioned it to be: an adventure hotel. He had a full house the night we stayed, and we met people from all over the country who were there to ski at Silverton Mountain or head into the backcountry. Wide range of intelligent and interesting people: an astrogeologist, a pastor, a software company owner, a senior high school student. Tons of fun!

I'm a repeat customer and I have to say, the new ownership has really put in work on this place. It's an awesome environment with a little bit for everyone. The rooms were clean and quiet, really friendly staff and such a cool town. I really appreciate the staff here and I feel like they go a little further than most to make me feel at home. The bar is great too! Live bands depending on when you stay add some fun to an already cool environment. This is my spot anytime I'm an town and like to spread the word to my friends and family. Check this place out, I promise you wont regret it!

Great spot, friendly staff, great music, delicious beers. Awesome for dogs and will be my new spot to stay every time I'm in Silverton. The stack of Nat Geos from the 1930's were also extremely entertaining.

From the moment I checked into The Avon I felt like I was some place special. I was greeted and checked in by Julian with a smile and shortly after was served my free check in drink and the soup of the day! What a way to start my mini vaca that ended up to be the best time on my snowboard ever!
