341Karl - TripAdvisor Review: excellent restoration in progress.

We stayed on the hostel side and it was so much more than a usual hostel experience. From the complimentary beer or drink at the bar (including multiple types of munchies) and a free bowl of soup to start your evening, to the well made up rooms with sheets and blankets which negated the need for our own sleeping sheet or bag, we were well taken care of.

Complementary wash room towels and shower needs and body lotion too! But that's only just the half; the building is being rustically remodeled (well done) and the decor is mostly all antiques relevant to the Silverton history. A great wood stove and comfortable seating nearby tops off a wonderful evening.

We elected to dine elsewhere in town to experience more of the local flavor, but I would expect the fare here to live up to the high regard the rest of the place provides. Dan welcomes most of his guests personally and provides insights to local history, interesting conversation and a commitment to his hotel project. This place is wonderfully inviting and comfortable if you are into something more "rustically Colorado" than the usual modern sterile motels in the big towns. GO THERE......!
